Akshay: What are the top 3 learnings of your life which have helped you to succeed?

Divya:

  1. Take the ownership and accountability of your life: Your life and your path are entirely in your hands and it totally depends on the choices you make, the things you believe to be true for your life, and how you change your perspective to go after your goals. Take ownership and accountability for your actions and for your life and then you will start to see changes in your life. Life is definitely a result of your choices, your thoughts, your actions.
  2. Purpose And Service: Life should be about purpose and service so I think in order to live a meaningful and fulfilling life it doesn’t happen if you only think about yourself. Your goal and your vision serve something bigger than yourself, it impacts other people and empowers their lives.
  3. Community: Not only it is about serving either people but I think you can achieve it especially if you have big dreams and goals, you can’t achieve it all alone and it’ll be very egoistic and foolish to achieve all of it all alone.

You have got to connect with the community, with people

There is a really famous African proverb that says:

“Alone you can go fast, but together you can go much further.”

Akshay: In this modern era, is a college degree needed to succeed?

Divya: This is such a tough one. I would say this really depends on what are you looking for. There are a ton of pros when it comes to going to college as I have got some of the best friendships of my life at college and I have learned other soft-skills too.

So it totally depends on what you are looking out for from college.
